How much do Spanish classes in Lima cost?
Private tutors, group classes, online platforms and university programs — the ranges nobody publishes.
Private Spanish classes · Lima & online
In person at your home or office in Lima, or online worldwide. Twenty-five years teaching diplomats, executives and expats — with lessons designed around how you actually learn.
What's at stake
Spanish is the difference between being a guest in this part of the world and feeling at home in it. Without the right teacher, most adults plateau — and stay there.
You can read a contract but lose the room when the meeting moves to Spanish — or the conversation moves to anything personal.
Apps drill vocabulary. Group classes move at someone else's pace. Neither one is shaped around how you actually think and speak.
The exam is structured and demanding. Without targeted preparation, candidates underperform on writing and speaking sections — and the fee is non-refundable.
Colleagues, neighbors, your favorite market vendor — the warmth you came here for stays just out of reach.
What changes
The goal isn't a grade or a certificate — it's a different relationship with the language. Here's what students typically experience within months of starting.
Hold your own with colleagues, clients and locals — including the parts of conversation that aren't on the agenda.
From A1 to C2: diagnostic, focused work on weak sections, timed mock exams, and an honest assessment before exam day.
Markets, taxis, healthcare, paperwork — the daily friction of being foreign dissolves into ordinary days.
Negotiate, present, write — and become the obvious choice for the role, region or client list that needs Spanish.
The guide
Learning Spanish as a busy adult is hard. One-size-fits-all rarely fits anyone.
I've watched too many smart, accomplished people lose confidence in front of a language. It's almost never because they're not capable — it's because the method wasn't built for them.
For 25 years I've taught diplomats, doctors, researchers and executives. I know what it takes to go from frustrated and self-conscious to articulate and at ease. Every plan I write is built around your goals, schedule, and the way you actually want to use Spanish.
A simple plan
No long onboarding. No mandatory placement test. The first WhatsApp message and the first lesson are usually less than a week apart.
Send a WhatsApp message, or take the 5-minute free level test. Tell me where you are, where you want to be, and when you can study.
I design a personalized plan around your level, goals and schedule — work Spanish, daily life, DELE prep, or all three. All materials included.
Begin lessons online from anywhere, or in person at your home or office in Lima. Adjust the rhythm as you grow.
The transformation
Most people who reach out have already tried. They've done the app for 200 days, taken a group class on Tuesday evenings, watched telenovelas with subtitles. They've made some progress — and then plateaued. The vocabulary is there. The confidence isn't.
What's usually missing is a teacher who listens carefully, designs around the way you think, and gives you the right thing to practice next. Not the curriculum's next chapter — yours.
Working together, we build that. Personalized materials, real-world conversation, the cultural texture that makes Spanish feel like a place to live and not a subject to study. Online from anywhere, or in person in Lima — whichever fits your life this season.
And on the other side: meetings you lead, dinners where you tell the joke, an exam you walk into ready, a city that finally feels like yours.
When you're ready, we'll start from where you are.

Questions
The things people ask before they send the first message. If yours isn't here, WhatsApp is the fastest place to get an answer.
Pedagogically, nothing. We use the same materials, the same pace and the same depth. Online means we meet over a video call; in person means I come to your home or office anywhere in Lima. Many students mix both.
Individual lessons start at $30 per hour. Most students pick a 10- or 15-lesson pack for a reduced per-lesson rate. Group and conversation rates are also available — see the pricing section above.
Yes — all six levels (A1 to C2). We start with a diagnostic, focus on the weakest sections, and finish with timed mock exams and exam-day strategy. More about DELE prep.
Often. Diplomatic protocol, medical Spanish, contract review, board presentations — we shape the materials around your real work. Send me the kind of meetings you're in and we'll build from there.
Yes. About a third of students start from zero. The free level test is optional; we can also just talk on WhatsApp and figure out the starting point together.
A planned session built around your goals, all materials (readings, audio, articles, literature, songs, series, films, PDF books and workbooks), homework if you want it, and notes after the call.
